.exe PSP and PSX ISO's?
H
I'm just wondering why the PSP and some PSX ISOs are in .exe format. ??? I hope someone can help me out here.
C
they arent supposed to be O.o...what are the file sizes? they are supposed to be ''bin', 'cue', or (the common) 'iso'
L
they are self-extracting archives of a rarely used, but exceptionally effective compression algorithm. Double-clicking them should extract the files; if not the download is likely corrupt and you will need to redownload them.
C
yeah....but in some cases, self extractors are viruses...the whole executable business is too easy to fudge...so thats when the file sizes help determine if its the actual game
L
Not in this case, and since the compression on these is well beyond what would reasonably be expected, then that method of checking wouldn't help. Besides, you should be running an up-to-date antivirus (NOT Norton) and scan all files you download.

And not to mention they're all made by us. :)
So it pretty much comes down to one question, do you trust us?
C
O.O...dont eat the pastries? oops...lmao....hell, if the isos are from a trusted source, GAME ON
H
I'd like to try some of those pastries before I make any decisions that could potentially ruin my PSP. :P Well whatever, I trust you guys. ;) I guess I'll go ahead and eat one of the digital doughnuts.
