Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City​ (世界樹ã®è¿·å®®III 星海ã®æ¥è¨ªè€…, Sekaiju no MeikyÅ« SurÄ« Seikai no RaihÅsha,? lit. "Labyrinth of Yggdrasill III: Visitor from Star Ocean") is a 3D dungeon crawler role-playing video game by Atlus for the Nintendo DS. The title was released in Japan on April 1, 2010. It will be released in North America on September 21st 2010. The Etrian Odyssey series is well known for its old-school style and difficult adventures. Players play the role of a guild leader, adventuring into the labyrinth to fulfill quests.
Story
The game is set in a sea city known as Armoroad, which is surrounded by the beautiful ocean. Armoroad prospered in the ancient time with high-level civilization. However, because of the great earthquake that happened a hundred years ago, the central part of the city sank down into the bottom of the sea, along with its superior technology.After the "Great Disaster", a labyrinth appeared in the hole of the city created by the earthquake. People from all over the world gathered around Armoroad to find clues that will lead them to the vanished city. Adventurers ventured down into the enormous hole, which devoured most part of the city and the lost technology. Some sought for the truth behind the "Great Disaster", while the others sought the treasures buried the deepest under the sea.
Well, here goes, the 3rd game of Etrian Odyssey for Nintendo DS, with a whole new story, taking the role as Guild Leader, create characters, go to dungeon, slay some monsters, and save the day. Repeat.etc.
Likewise, it will be available for download, as soon it has been
dumped, unless you buy it anyway.

Right now, the cotumization is excellent, but everything else is nonexistent. This game could be great if someone made some good graphics (instead of pictures that can be found on fan art sites, and the quality can't be differentiated from the paid artists), and at least attempt half of a story. Besides that, I will still play the game cuz i like the cotumization of team........ but cmoooon.

I'm on CycloDS v1.59 and I find occasional crashes with the seafaring segment of the game. There's also some consistent freezing and the number "5" on my sea chart vanishing when I try to do a sea quest.MINOR EDIT: Zoom the sea chart in and the freeze won't happen. Also use the RTS feature if your cart has it.

yes. I always purchase a copy of the game, and then download the rom for convenience purposes. I don't like to carry around a lot of catridges (i have like a huge amount now 50+). I am also one of those people who switches games often on my commute. therefore I like to have roms packed onto one cart so I don't need to switch a lot. I definitely purchase a copy of all the games i download in order to support the developer.
