Once you travel to the ruins and step inside, you meet what remains of the Battlemages, Fithragaer. According to him, the Necromancers were ready for the Battlemages, and that they were ambushed. This obviously doesn't sound like good news for the informant. Still, Fithragaer is eager to continue the fight, and he tells you to follow him. This turn of events only lasts a few seconds, as Fithragaer steps onto a platform that rises rapidly into the air, impaling him on spikes attached to the ceiling. The platform is on the bottom of the first set of steps, in the center of the room. Now you'll be searching for Mucianus alone. There is a method for keeping Fithragaer alive, however, this is quite tricky. See the Notes section for more information. Keep in mind, the survival of Fithragaer is not mandatory, nor do you gain a reward for keeping him alive in the end.It only says that his survival is not required, but it doesn't really say if that is supposed to happen. The "Notes" section says
You can keep Fithragaer alive, although Fithragaer's death is a scripted event which triggers a journal update (and updates your quest marker). If he does not die, it can cause the quest not to update properly. If you wish to keep him alive, one way to do it is.So I guess he's MEANT to die. But boy, what a retard.
Inunah · #28Two words: Adoring Fan.Take him to the highest snowy peak/cliff in Tamriel and tell him to go home. Bet'cha can't guess which way he goes.He practically kills himself. Sure, the dude with the booby trap was kind of reasonable.. I mean, who would've known that was there otherwise? But the cliff? You can see how high it is, and the idiot still walks off.lol at dive rock I tried that. I have a video of it too
