Dragon Warrior IX Wifi Features on Desmume?

Has anyone discovered if you can get anything to work on the WIFI end of desmume for Dragon Warrior IX? Would love to invite quests and visit other worlds but being that it's not really a NDS I figure is not going to happen.

Unless the Desumume team has found a way around the new wifi blocks Nintendo set up to block things like emulators from connecting to wifi servers, there isn't a way.
