This crazy idea/image suddenly came to me:
Mr Popo will be a guy from "da hood"
He'll keep saying things like:
"Yo sup Goku?"
"Where the balls at?"
"fo shizzle ma nizzle"

Isn't that a bit stereotypical?

Yes, I know that. I said it's just a crazy idea. But it's just a Hollywood movie anyway.
This is just the same thing like when almost everytime an Asian appear:
-He is Chinese
-He knows kungfu
-If he's not Chinese, he's Japanese and he's a ninja/samuraiI know stereotype is not good in life, but in movies it's just funny ;D
Sry, i'm off topic

Cahos Rahne VelozaOne word LAME! :PThanks to that link Cal, I was able to browse Youtube & found clips from THE old Chinese Dragonball Movie I once saw back in high school with my buddies. And unlike that American garbage you let us view, this is way better, in terms of the story & it's adaptation of the Anime, what does suck are the lame visual effects.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRYx2Fm0A2Q -> hmm, this is very intriguing, they re released the movie with some visual improvements? I didn't see that newer one though.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9wEGbX0r7M -> The guy "Monkey Boy" (A.K.A. Goku) was fighting with is Yamcha, although in this movie he is called "Westwood" & Bulma was See-tohhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dz6b_E3aAEA -> ROFL, now that's how you make Buten Roshii ;Dhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jX38JOO1lTY&feature=related -> Yeah, here's THE movie in it's full glory, well part one of nine parts anyway. Thank you Youtube & the guys who uploaded these there :DDon't waste your hard earned cash watching that crap Fox will release this year, spend it instead in searching for & buying a copy of this awesome Chinese movie on the net.
sorry but the Chinese versoin looked lame too, i surely wouldent wast my money on the amarican one (nor the Chinese one) but i thank il still watch it(bootleg) to honor my former anime obsession

of course it looked lame..... but that is suppose to be a joke comedy rather then serious movie like the holloywood try to make.....

they will never be abile to make a live action anime right :'(

Really!?If you based your lame remmark on the visuals, do remember that it was shot in the late 80's so you can't expect any fancy shmancy CGI graphics in it. But if you're basing it on the plot, then I disagree, the Chinese movie was spot on with the story, that is if you knew of Dragonball, the series before Dragonball Z when Goku was still 5 years old.And there were several great Anime to live action series out there. How about the live action GTO? The live action You are Under Arrest? Or the live action Death note movie? And don't forget that Chinese/Taiwanese Hanayori Dango rip off Meteor Garden which was a sensation at one time, God I hated those F4 douchebags :P

no no, i did not base my opinion on the graphics(i dont judge graphics), just live action db looked silly and the fight scenes look over dramatic

hong kong fighting sceen is always over dramatic.... especially during the 80 where almost every hong kong director are making a Kung Fu movie.
Cahos Rahne Veloza

Hey Cal, remember Golden Harvest? That's one of those 80's Hong Kong movie companies who made alot of those overly-dramatic Kung Fu movies ;D
calvin_0OP

is it the one with red box then change the color to yellow?
Cahos Rahne Veloza

Yes, their intro usually starts with a black background then four yellow rectangles start to appear forming a "G" then the full name of the Company gets placed bellow it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18uxxNNDNiE&feature=PlayList&p=04E6ECF0714B3E0F&playnext=1&index=83For the list of movies Golden Harvest has produced go to this Wikipedia link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_harvest#Films_ProducedWhat the!?The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies from the 90's were co-produced by Golden Harvest ???Oh yeah the Once Upon a time in China Movies, loved those :)Funny trivia, during Dragonball everytime a World Supreme Martial Arts tournament began they featured a spoof of Golden Harvest's intro during the opening ceremonies ;D
