ace1o1just wait a few minutes and i'll PM you a link with EVERY emulator that i have!! PSX, NES, SNES, GBA/GB/GC, Gamegear, Sega Genesis, and N64!!
Instructions would be nice too. :PI have learned one thing downloading the ISOs are a pain in the ass especially if they end up not extracting like they should, has to be better just to rip the damn things to a HDD.But on the bright side I have a nice set of WiiWare games I've been wanting to play for a while like Megaman 9 and Final Fantasy IV The After Years.

ok very noob question I'm interested in doing this with my wii, but my lack of intelligence and know how is not quite there... So for a very Noob person like me how would i get started on this Homebrew gecko hack USB/disc channel thingy? I'm mostly interested because I would like to try out hack texures for brawl and play some wiiware games from japan as well as play some games on both wii and wiiware without *gasp*buying them, but I fear my wii breaking and melting down or worse nintendo catching me in the act1so my top questions is is it easy to do this?2what are the chances of nintendo catching me?3what site is a good site to get me started in this new homebrew direction I plan on going4and I know RomU is a ROM site but is there a good site for this kind of stuff?Ohh I got so many questions but I think I should just dip my feet first before I dive in so can anyone get me started on what I should know and what I should do first? Thanks in advance! Such a noob I am.

I felt the same way at first, but click the link that ace1o1 posted with the guide and when you get to the site you will have to register but its quick, but when you see the guide read it 2-3 times to get the ideal, then follow it in order word for word and don't rush also make sure you have at least a 2GB SD card, now if your system is 4.0+ you can use HCSD and MicroSD with its reader (I used a Micro) and it seemed pretty simple once I got started, took maybe about 45mins to get the basic stuff going.

I'm saying thanks in advance to the people who have posted these solutions.
Just got a Wii for the family for Crimbo, so will be looking into this in the new year.
I may have questions though, but nice to see there's help when I need it.

scruffythedogEvening people. :)
Is it possible to get software for playing downloaded games on the Wii, (Like the DS?)
I have heard it mentioned that it is possible to download some software to put on the memory card, then put the games on the memory card and it should play them apparently? If so, please can I be pointed in the right direction...Any one able to confirm / deny?what format are Wii games?Cheers.
The advce above me might be more accurate, however wii games are not the same as ds games...-they are in iso format
-You can't load them from memory cards
-The wii needs to be modified unlike the dsTo some it's easy...other's not.

ace1o1free wii games!! and homebrew. i use the emulators, n64, gba, snes, nes, psx,but don't use neogamma....it kinda doesn't work with cIOS 38 rev15 which you need if you want to play new super mario bros. wii!!my friend just gave me a 160 GB harddrive so that i could put wii games on it!! and i just bought the cables, so i'll have to wait a week or so.here is what i did.i followed the guide for 4.2.i then installed cIOS 38 rev15 as IOS 249.i then installed cIOS 202, 222, and 223 with cios 222 installer. it is required to use uloader, which i have found that it is the best loader so far that i know of!!and then you can play any game you want! you MUST have wifi for the cIOS rev15, 202, 222, and 223 installations.in order to play New Super Mario Bros. Wii, you need to use Uloader (the latest version), and you have to select to use cIOS 249 or else your system will just reset.this helped me out too. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fj7PczzuFA4you can also use downloaded wiiware wad files, but i still need to figure out how to get those to work properly. though i'm not a huge fan of wiiware, but would be nice to have some!
are you telling me that you arent using a external hdd??

try installing cIOS38 rev15 or rev 14 as IOS 249. that's what worked for me when i got the same error message. but also try to uninstall stub 249 again....that's what prevents cIOS38 from being installed as 249.

I use coverfloader and a 300 gig hdd. Way more convenient than burning discs.
