I know downloading torrents automatically via RSS is quite possible. Right now, I use www.feedmytorrents.com and uTorrent to download files that I choose via the RSS feed. I can remotely update my RSS feed there with a torrent I want downloaded and uTorrent would download it via the feed. The thing I want to ask is, how would you do this for normal HTTP downloads. As in, having a certain program download files automatically when the RSS feed is updated The internet connection at home is great, but everywhere else is slow as hell, and I was looking for a way that I could remotely instruct my home computer to download HTTP files.I tried using wGET / cURL, but I'm finding it can't parse the RSS feeds to find the download links. VNC/ Remote desktop methods is out of the question, as it's usually slow and at times blocked.
