Does the DSL play downloaded GBA roms?

Also, if I play downloaded pokemon platinum and place (for eg.) downloaded pokemon ruby in the flash cart, will the pokemons only available by inserting the pokemon ruby cartriage also be available?

No. The pokemon won't be available.You need a slot 2 flash cart such as the EZ flash 3-in-1 in order to play GBA games on the DSL or DS Phat until the Supercard DSTWO comes out.
