I've been downloading some files from Megaupload and usually it takes right at an hour to get a 500MB file and all week around the same time it slows down dramatically so instead of an hour it tries to say 8+ hours to a day. and now it being saturday its still taking forever. I am using it as a free user, but normally I don't have any problems until hours later when it will tell me I will have to wait 2 hours to download again. And I will admit I have been hitting them pretty hard this week I would estimate 5-6GB within 24 hours. At first I was thinking it was maybe my ISP doing it, but I called and asked about it and they told me they don't do that then asked if maybe it was just heavy traffic and they really couldn't answer as they said its unknown if a whole lot of people get on at the same time let alone if they are all downloading at the same time. Also I am sharing my internet access point with a friend and we both download, but its never affected anything until this week, or I am just now noticing it and we've been sharing since October.I tried a different direct download site other than Megaupload and I am getting full speed there so I am wondering if Megaupload throttles their download speeds (or whatever the term for it is)from time to time or could it be something else? its aggravating as hell, but I would at least like to know what might be causing it.
