Does anyone remember neopets?

They had McDonalds toys and everything back in 2002. People in my class wouldn't stop talking about it back in first grade. Now Viacom owns the site.

Oh god, Neopets. I remember when I used to play this as much as I could at school when I like 9 or 10. I haven't played it since though.

Thing changed after they were purchased by viacom. The site got redesigned and now it looks like some mainstream piece of rubbish. It's not worth going back.

It was kind of funny though. She named her account after jesus and all of her pets had the names of the people from the bible.She even had one named after che guevara.

It was initially sold to some guy who ran a religious cult. All the money made by neopets was poured into his cult and the site began to deteriorate through lack of development/investment.

My entire school was hooked on NeoPets. Everybody showed off how many of them they have!

Pfft. I'm not one of the more popular ones. I'm usually don't talk at my school. It was the more popular, "cooler" kids that pointed it out.I wasn't too concerned though. They were the kinds of kids that played the crappy flash games on addictinggames or miniclip and talked about halo and football all the time.
