DeSmuME - Ad hoc through lan/hamachi - different computers

Hello, I'm trying to make DeSmuME's ad hoc work through lan with my brother as testing but it won't work no matter what.
It gets as far as seeing each other in the room before being disconnected by a "communication error".
Also I keep seeing his room even after he started the game.

• WinPCap installed, latest version both
• Downloaded DeSmuME Wifi package both(only version of DesMuME with wifi)
• Same rom version
• Actually trying to play DS' ADHOC not over WIFI

Here's my Wifi settings (tried with and without hamachi as bridge, same error)
Emulation settings(both bios and firmware are custom)
