Dead space 2 collectors edition...differs per platform?

so extraction is ps3 only add on? i cant said i'm happy as extraction isnt the best dead space.... hell alot of dead space fans hate it.

The PS3 version of the game, no matter what, will be called the collector's edition btw. Kinda like Dante's Inferno on the PS3.There's the regular collector's edition (which will be the price of a normal game) and it'll come with Dead Space Extraction (that's about all I know). Then there's the super collector's edition with a useless replica. The reason for DS:E on the PS3 vs the 360 is because Sony and EA Visceral Entertainment struck a deal at one point in time, meaning there will be exclusive content on the PS3, just like EA's presence at Sony's E3 conference.Plus, you're looking at an EBGame website, which they aren't reliable on details of any kind concerning anything. I'd also lol if the PS3 didn't get the fake gun and still packed that price.

Haha, 'isn't the best Dead Space', there's only three Dead Space games including 2 and excluding Ignition or whatever it's called. I liked it, it's one of the better on rails shooter ever. A good narrative with on rails? Awesome, now we just need a legit lightgun, I hate using the reticule, makes it less immersive.

well i doubt there will be any, so i suggested the next "best" thing.... move... but look at the bright side, you can always use the gun attachment.

Actually, before it said you get both, a mate seen the site's twitter say that the ps3 version had the change, the site mearly confirmed what I know.Also consider that Australia get's the worse colectors editions, why look at our zombrex edition of dead rising 2 compared to the US's one.

If that gun is supported, Im buying it soley for this game and time crisis razing storm.Also, before I stop, the eb games site in Australia, once it's made a second change, it's 99.9% final, why when I first saw the outbreak edition for ps3 I was stoked to see we were getting the dead rising sun movie...Then, one revision, and they removed it, so for some reason they have removed the gun...And because I don't want stupid game dlc, I'm thinking of canceling my pre-order with eb and be happy to pay $1 more to another compay that's known to sell games cheaper than eb from the get go.http://www.ebgames.com.au/search?title=Dead+Space+2+Collector%27s+EditionThis is all they have.http://www.jbhifi.com.au/games/dead-space-2/This, once i confirm it tommoro as i walk instore, is what I'm switching too.

No silly, the orange gun is the gun con 4, the move is the wii remote like thing that's black with a ball on it...now I just need 2 of them and a stick betwwen them.

Oh sorry you just got the names mixed up, regardless...will that even work :S

get the 360 one that the one i am getting. i will not say i hated extraction but i all so did not like it. extraction is just a prolog to deadspace. it tells what happens to the planet the day the find the the artifatic and what happens a few weeks later. it all so tells what happen on the the ship. (show why some things where shutdown) i do not recomned buying it. rent it if you just want some back ground info.

He doesn't have a 360.

I just play the demo last night, i must say it got me worry when i heard they are going to tune-down the horror element. The horror is still good. but its hard to get used to when issac interacting with other character.

Well that is all people would use, though I liked the force gun...like a sub for a shotgun.Still, it seems that while we get the move compatable extraction port...and the rivet gun unlock...I'D RATHER THE DAMN PLASMA CUTTER!

same here, in fact my 1st time beating Dead Space, i was using nothing more then plasma cutter (i didnt know you have to buy weapon, too used to picking up weapon)

In the ps3 version as you might know (and 360 :P ) there is a trophy for using only the plasma cutter...I admit, when I tried the final unlockable difficulty, I used the assult rifle and the force gun mostly, the plasma cutter is handy only when those 2 ran out.

yup, i got without trying lol (i think i'm going to do the same for DS2 just for the fun of it)anyway, i hope they dont nerf the force gun. nothing say "screw you" like point blank blast in the face with it XDalso Zero-G + Force Grenade = Rocket Luncher XD, another thing i hope they dont change.

Those were good in normal gravity as well, good for groups=emergencies.
