Damn it, I am being hacked.

I left my computer up overnight to download some files, set it to auto shutdown. So I woke up, shutdown was aborted... everything seemed to be working well until I restart where the blue screen of death occured. Saying stop = (000001, 0x000009 or something, hadn't been bothered to write it.I used start using last good known configuration to boot the computer once more.
any idea?, My AVG firewall must've been disabled, seems to be working fine. DAMN IT, HE DISABLED IT.Or could this have been a hardware conflict or something? I should've discovered the security exploits earlier.
Guys recommend any other anti virus, Any at all I will get it.AVG 8.5
Vista

I seriously doubt it was a hack. More likely windows just screwed itself up. Next time write down what the stop error says, we can't tell you what it is without knowing that.

I doubt it was a "hacking"
More likely just a random windows error.AVG is good. Some like AVAST! or what ever that other one is, which is good as well.I use Spybot Search and Destroy from http://www.safer-networking.org/ as well. It is a malware removal tool as well as a prevention tool. It runs and monitors your processes and registry, and can even be set up to warn you of changes and asks if you want to allow them. And of course, if you aren't already, use Mozilla Firefox with Adblock and NoScript addons.

thanks guys, It must have been. Windows screwed it self.local hackers... are pretty dumb, and my friend won't do a thing.I like spybot :) it seems awesome! along with runAlyzer and allAye, Should I uninstall AVG 8.5 internet security and install spyware doctor full, the firewall included one (not sure what's it called and can not be bothered checking) and threatfire along with Spybot and RunAlyzer; if they don't conflict.

I'd stick with AVG to be honest. you can install spybot, and also javacool spywareblaster.

The stop error may be due to a Driver failure or an unexpected error caused by changing BIOS settings or else.
It must NOT be "Hacked". For the Antivirus - My opinion is " Kaspersky Internet Security 2009" (Not Free) , Try the ONE MONTH TRAIL you wont be dissappointed. Best Virus Protection and Frequent updates.

Choose Avast you won't have problem, me I tried and it is really helpful.

yes avast is slow, it makes a really annoying warning when it detects something, and whenever it updates it's like (*PING*! VIRUS DATABASE HAS BEEN UPDATED!). but it works pretty well

I use spyware doctor and i'd say it has pretty good detection, I got the "with antivirus version" saving me having scan with different programs all the time.I didn't really like AVG when i tried it.and I just use malwarebytes as my secondary.
