Crysis wars starts minimized

Ok so heres the deal,
I'm running windows7 home premium,directex 11 and a legit version of crysis wars.
I want to play the game full screen but even if i select 'run maximized' its still minimized... is there a way to solve this problem by running it in compatability mode or update the directx?

When it starts up in windowed mode, try clicking alt+enter.
