ME is a load of shite, you want 98SE or 2000 professional.
if its a driver related issue you can try uninstalling the sound device in safe mode, and running drivercleaner to delete the driver.
LookintheMirrorHave you tried to use last known good configuration option in F8
ME doesnt have that option.
N
I agree with Loony, get another OS. I've had ME for a couple years when I lived at my parents and it's the worst OS I've ever touched and it's given me nothing but problems.
B
where do I get driver cleaner? Ive never heard of it.come on, I actually like ME. it hasnt given me any proplems cept for this. and I probally caused it.and how to uninstall sound driver...? (not my expertise in dealing with drivers and such)
L
open device manager, select the device in question and press delete. Confirm and reboot after running drivercleaner. when it tries to reinstall the sound cancel the add new hardware wizard.http://www.drivercleaner.net/
