Busted Recyle Bin

I think my recycle bin is busted. When I go to empty it I right click it and I go to pick empty but I can't click it because it's greyed out. Could somebody please tell me why and how to fix it?

sure its not already empty? Sometimes the icon gets stuck.

Oh look, it's my recycle bin! ;v) And the Empty Recycle Bin is greyed out and there's actually something in it! ;v)

open it in explorer and delete everything in it.

That's what I've been doing but you shouldn't have to. you should be able to use the context menu.

if its always doing it (i.e doesn't unstick after manual emptying) then your windows is buggered somehow.
