Bleach the 3rd phantom.. bankai

Well i just saw yesterday that you can achieve bankai while you're in the story mode. And in order to do that you must battle some characters with a sword sign in your free time starting at chapter 15. i defeated nearly all of them except 2 of them because when i reach chapter 17 all of the sword sign quest are gone.. so my question is that will i receive my bankai even if i miss some quest?
(I know that you can achieve bankai after you beat the game.. but i just want to have it while in the storyline) TNX!! :)

You will not get your bankai if you have failed one of the questsI'm playing the game also and I'm now in chapter 23 and I've failed 2 quests and
i have no bankai with my male character
