Best Generation Of Pokemon

First 3 generations

The second generation is my favourite (loved the remakes).Breeding, item holding, better graphics, massive amount of gameplay, excellent legendaries (shame about the dodgy looking starters - Cyndaquil and it's evolutions were sort-of O.K though), day and night cycle, the RED battle, ETERNAL AWESOMENESS.
Crystal added better animation and the extra battle centre thingy too.

Generation 1 and 2..
Generation 3 looked like it was trying too hard, but wasn't that bad.
Generation 4, on the other hand, was absolutely horrible. I hope it burns in the firepits of damnation

Generation 1 was the best Hands down. All of the pokemon were creative and they looked amazing. For ex. Magmar, charizard, pickachu, dragonite, mewtwo, psyduck, etc. They were creative and just overall EPIC. Also the anime was good for the 1st generation and so forth, but it started to fail when Ash reached puberty.

Not as much of Puberty as change of Voice Actor, But yes, it kind of signifies Puberty.
But the japanese voicing is still good.
But the anime doesn't have that feeling of Pokemon anymore.

Didn't like 3rd Gen. I liked 2nd Gen it had so much cool Pokemon. 1st Gen was fine because it had Vaporeon

Probably 2nd gen for me.But honestly people,hating the newer generations only proves the fact that you're too sucked up to the old days and refuse to get a move on.It's like saying i'd rather have a windows 98 than windows xp.So what if the newer generation pokemons look ugly.2nd generation were ugly when we first looked at it.Then we grew used to it.3rd generation were ugly,but then we grew used to it etc.What i'm trying to say is that hating the newer generation does not get you anything.So grow up and stop hating people.And yes,i was there in the old days when ash got attacked by a flock of spearows so i'm not just some kid who doesnt know what he's talking about.Excuse my grammar and my poor way of explaining.

There is some truth in what you're saying kingvxx, but everyone has a different opinion. Mine, is that the newer generations aren't extremely bad, but I've been seeing lack of quality as the games moved on. Let's get this straight, though. Originals are always going to be the best as far as things like this go. These days, so many games are made to attract buyers, make money, and NOT to satisfy the itch for a good game. It's actually really sad. The pokemon games are good, but the first one, despite the nasty graphics, was probably the most enjoyable for us. Because it was ORIGINAL. When there isn't a lot of stuff to add to a series, it dries out and loses a lot of what made it great - it's originality. I don't hate pokemon games, but for me, they've lost their touch, like a lot of stuff has.But hey, that just makes a happy surprise all the more happier, right? Hopefully, the developers will come up with new ways to make these games fun, and things will only get better.(Sorry if i got a little off topic) GO ORIGINALS!!

1ST GENERATION FTW

Well, for me it's a tossup between Gen 1 and 2. Gen 1 had the simplicity of only 151 Pokemon, and had a good storyline. However in Gen 2 I liked the way you could go back to Kanto, fight Red, and things like that.

omgwtfitzbenMy favorite is gen 2, it was like 1st gen but a little bit better. I didn't really like 3rd gen that much, I liked 4th gen for it's competitiveness, and I don't know about 5th yet.

took the words out of my mouth Gen 2 was by far the best, gen 2 has gen 1 in it xD, it shows the full power of the gbc (well crystal... i was trippin when my dad took me to buy it after i won yellow blue gold silver and tradin cards since it was like 50$ i saved up and got pokemon stadium and crystal ah yes... trippin when playing crystal Pikachu use leer *uses leer... wait leer is laser eyes... woa*Pokemon trading card gen on gbc xDoh and people are saying gen 1 since it was the first one but gen 2 had kanto in it and johto = the best

oh and the first 2 series had love but kids dont know about love (so they say) so they got rid of misty liking ash and when someone else does she goes crazy

2nd ruled, except for Celebi (dumb looking).

I like 3rd Gen the Best. Dunno why most people say it was the worst :-\

I can't remember any names except pickachu. Was pickachu 1st gen? Im going with whatever he was, purely because I dont remember any more.
