Best First Person Shooter?

I am a great fan of FPS games. I’ve played so many of them- my favourites are Perfect Dark N64 (It brings back a lot of good memories), Call Of Duty on PC (The best COD?) and Metroid Prime Hunters on DS (it was better than the Gamecube version, and that’s saying something because the Gamecube version was damn good). What’s yours?

Well, I do have a peculiar liking to FPS genre that brings me snatching up to it, but really does'nt satiate my needs as RPGs but still it remains entirely secondary...Favourite FPSs, Tough Choice,Maybe COD 4, Crysis, Farcry 1 or 2.. Halo might have been in the list as well but I really get fustrated as the game progresses.

Probably Call of Duty 4. It's one of the few that I've actually played. To be honest, I sucked on the 360, but I demonstrated my skill in PC FPS'es at tech camp. Backlot's my best map. I got like 50 kills in one game, twice as much as second place. ;D

Halo 3 easily. Best multi-player as well and has really cool graphics and music.

Team Fortress 2, and Half Life 2 Episode 2.CoD4 could be there but I hate the single player and there's a couple of levels I hate in multiplayer (Backlot, someone can use the grenade launcher to kill the other team right off the bat) and Downpour, I don't remember a lot of the rest though.

I don't see how you could even compare them..., Metroid Prime Hunters was only good for the multiplayer IMO.Perfect Dark was pretty awesome though, especially the co-op.

i'm looking forward to the next modern warfare on DS. saw some screens on gamespot and it looked ready to kick World at War's arse on the DS.

I was disappointed by crysis, to be honest, it was unfinished. the story started out OK but by the middle of the game had disappeared entirely. (bringing aliens into a game half way through just smacks of no imagination and will kill the game). and it had way too many bugs. it was the bugs alone that stopped me buying it. Why should I pay £40 for a game that requires me to download 500MB of patches to fix game breaking bugs it should never have been shipped with?

I'd have to say Halo 3. But then again I don't have chances to play much games so I'm very limited.
