Awesome Logo Help.

Hey guys, I have this project due on Monday for LA CLass(media literacy), and we had to make up an invention, and commercialize it, present it to the world. However, I got Sony Vegas Pro 9 and PhotoShop CS4, and I have NO IDEA on how to make a nice Logo for my invention (Called barrierz) If anyone could help me, or refer me to a program or something where I can create a nice logo, please share. - Jerome.

exactly what is your invention? can't really put a logo on an unknown product ._. i sorta have the same, but we need a logo for a fake band...

Well, I didn't really mean logo, I meant like the word(Barrierz), but made really nice. I tried to make one, and it looks really bad, but it was my first time.. any way I can show you it?
