Avoid NDS Noobs; Have a stickied thread in General Discussion about NDS roms

I'm just suggesting, cause it seems that next to ROM request, that's where they pop up the most, and they are STILL popping up about daily, it's gotta be a pain in the butt for you guys.Again, though, just a suggestion.

People tend to ignore stickies because they're stickied.

How about a banner, or news post on the front page informing everyone that the NDS ROMs will not be coming back. Also, the fact that the NDS tab on the "Downloads" section on the main page is no longer like this Nintendo DS is giving people false hope.

Everyone is gonna ignore all of these.Just report them and don't post, simple as that.

The best route sadly.

It's natural that when someone is angry, they tend to get impatient and miss alot of details.

Whenever I see a stickied post all I think is "God damnit now I have to scroll past all this shit again".

And the more sticked posts the more likely that becomes. :)

Is it possible that every thread in this section would be stickied? That would be useless since it is the same as having none stickied, right?

It's useless yes.The sticky that's posted in last is on the top...

Having a stickied thread about the NDS games not being available EVERYWHERE may seem to get their attention...

Maybe we could have a large banner on the front page, forums, download section that the DS games are down.
And some sort of code that could detect a whining "No more NDS" thread in progress for automatic deletion.

Seph doesn't want to modify the forum code.

We're completely rewriting RomUlation from the ground up. The new base platform (that the site is built on) is undergoing benchmarks and they're pretty impressive. The disadvantage is the new platform has zero compatibility with the old one so we have no choice but to rewrite the entire site.

Would the posts and threads remain? I'm not sure because I'm not good with these stuff.

the forum isnt changing. If we were modifying the forum code we'd be here till the next millenium.
