Atsumete Kirby (Kirby Mass Attack) Anti-Piracy Discussion

InunahIt's just as hard to crack as any other. At least it's not as bad as other AP.
The only AP that I can think that took longer than two days to crack in recent years was Pokemon HG/SS. I guess BW too, but I think AP crackers just like taking their time with Pokemon games to get all of the Pokenoobs in a rage.
The reason why Kirby white screens on the majority of flash carts is because it uses different ARM loading data than usual, so an AP Patch is of no benefit, in this case.
This means, will need to wait for RGF to release the extinfo.dat, infolib.dat, and savlib.dat updates.....v.6.66 !!! :oRGF just released v.6.65 but does not contain Atsumete! I've been looking forward to this game since before it was even exist. After I played Kirby Canvas Curse for the first time I was like "This is easy with just one Kirby to keep track of. Gimme multiple Kirbys and more ways to control them than just dragging a line across the screen." (After a few levels, I was getting tired of just drawing lines to direct Kirby wherever)

Found the below post in quote on GBATemp.net:
www1.axfc.net/uploader/Sc/so/262899.dat <----1st link to downloadNEW DSTT extinfo dat from 2ch, solved kirby white screen and controlandGood news guys!
Now DSTT/R4 YSMENU is perfect。Can SAVE, no white screen or freeze.extinfo download:
www1.axfc.net/uploader/Sc/so/262923.dat <----2nd link to download
How to:
1. Download the 1st link to get the extinfo.dat and infolib.dat, (faulty extinfo.dat but proper infolib.dat)
2. then replace the extinfo.dat with the one in the 2nd link (as the 2nd link only contain the re-corrected extinfo.dat).
3. Once you combine the 2 downloaded DATS, add/replace the ones in your TTMENU folder.*Tested it, works on my R4 Original YSMENU. Played up to level 1, no issues so far. But can't guarantee it is 100% fixed by who ever made those update. Cause those DAT's offset are not my work, and I did not upload it either. If not mistaken the above DATS fixed games up to rom number 5809 or more.Much Appreciate jmleolgp for the above links to the dats. Thanks to 2ch for the DAT fix rom 5803 Atsumete! Kirby.Latest Update from RetroGameFan v.6.66 : http://filetrip.net/f25864-RetroGameFan-Multi-Cart-Update-6-66.htmlChangelog:

Forget the three steps, just download RGF firmware it's a new link today, get extinfo.dat / infolib.dat / savlib.dat from it and replace them into your TTMenu folder

I had done the above steps I mentioned, tested it and its working fine for me, I'm playing the game already. The reason why I posted the 3 steps was because that was before RGF updated his file to v.6.66. However for you, its easier, just use RGF's v.6.66. But if you have not updated to v.6.65, then update to v.6.65 first before updating to v.6.66. If you had updated to v.6.65, then just move on to v.6.66. The reason for doing so is because of the below reason.Maybe because you need to replace the ttpatch.dat / r4patch.dat / ttmenu.dat provided in the v.6.65 or ask Jhon for the files.
My cart is an R4 Original, same as Jhon's, we did not need to replace the patch.dat. Maybe your's is an R4 Clone? If it is, and you had not replace the patch.dat since v.6.64 then you will need to do so immediately. The v.6.63 or older's patch.dat limit the extinfo to 900 game titles. While by now its already around 910 game titles in the extinfo.dat, so you need to replace the patch.dat for all compatible R4 clones starting from v.6.65 updates. Also don't use a patched kirby rom, use the clean one. And make sure to delete the kirby.sav before trying again.Edit:Just saw this new post on GBATemp.net (Do read carefully and thoroughly!) :
There was a new extinfo.dat just now:
http://yuzuru.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/gameurawaza/1312537984/Download:
www1.axfc.net/uploader/Sc/so/263047.dat <----This link to replace the extinfo.datSolved the problem you mentioned.
Apparently if you had seen the immense amount of offsets needed to add into the extinfo.dat for this particular game, that is not enough !!!They just found 2 new AP issues:
1. freeze when you reached 10000 points
2. freeze when you push/touch the green appleBut the above link in the quote fixed the 2 new issues. So for you who had already added RGF's v.6.66, will need to replace the extinfo.dat again with the new one pointed in red arrow.By the way, remember to rename that re-downloaded file to : extinfo.dat because 2ch purposely name it SC_262972.dat to avoid misunderstandings. Thanks to : 2ch and jmleolgq
