Anyone ever use MUGEN or RPG Maker 2000?

I know I have and I am almost a master at creating fighting games/RPG games.. Its just variables I need to worry about in RM2k ;D

I don't understand everyones problems with variables.....
Couldn't be simpler.....well....maybe they could but...

not very easily. I personally have no problems with the concept of variables, but then I've been programming since I was 8, and variables are a fairly core concept. Can't remember how I actually learnt about them.

well switches are very easy because i learned that on the same day i got Rm2k ;D

MUGEN is that 2d fighter isn't it? And I tried RPG Maker Xp but I couldn't understand it.

It's an engine....written in Allegro

Variables are fun, add in variable variables and variable functions and you have extra fun.

}

$foo = 'bar'

echo $$foo . $foo;

I think I downloaded MUGEN. You can get your own characters put in made by other people like Peter and Homer.

Yeah I have like 300 characters. ;D It is a 2D fighting game, kind of Mortal Kombat style

Yeah, I used to have that, but I just downloaded my characters from sites instead of making my own.

Yeah, I like RPG Maker, it's very easy and fun to use, and they give you pre-set tiles & characters, so you can make a game in a matter of hours.

Nope and VX is the same interface etc. as XP
