anyone else think gta4 was shit

im i the only one that thought gta4 was shit!
<>bland city that you never get to know your way round because it all looks the same
<>typical missions that are not worthy of a next gen console
<>cops were too strict you couldnt go on a rampage like in other gta games,isn't that what gta is about!

all in all just not as fun as gta games should be and thats what was always magical about gta, shit graphics terrible physics but a blast to play while they've fix ed the first two the magic of gta has been lost and i wonder if they will ever bring it back?

It wasn't as much fun as San Andreas by any means but it was fun in its own way.Swingset glitch is probably one of my favorite things ever.

Yeah... They created a superior being(!?) in GTA san andreas , but they swapped better graphics for enjoyment... Crappier than san andreas , yeah... But IF u think besides of SA , it was nice.

I found gta4 great at first seeing how it improved but then I realized what rockstar had taken out from the previous San Andreas and finally gave up on it

If you want to play the game GTA4 should have been play Saints row 2.

I like GTASA better than GTA4

San Andeas was the best. Better world, better mini-games, everything.

I throught the world, graphics and storyline were much better than GTA: SA and the AI was certainly better. I've never had any issues going on killing sprees; sure the cops don't like it, but that makes it more entertaining. The only improvements I'd make other than restoring features from san andreas (tanks (although they might be in iraq), planes, purchasable houses and businesses and personal stats like fat, muscle etc) is I'd reduce the frequency that people call you for social events, and I'd also modify the text message retry so if you died during a multi stage mission you restart at the beginning of the stage you died on.

Vice City is the best GTA. Nothing will fill that gap, I hate Saints Row 1 and 2.GTA IV did not tickle my fun bone. I never thought the game was fun for one moment. :\
No cheats, the realism factor, annoying friends, multiplayer that was done ten times better in any other game, the lobby system, everything.

No cheats? there were plenty of cheats, i used them when i got bored to death with the game and thought cheats might spice it up. They didn't.Although everything looked nice (although quite brown and gray) and the physics were realistic, i completely failed to find any enjoyment after flying through my windscreen a few times and i'd found a helicopter to play with.

I think all GTAs (except for the third) were shit. I never liked them.But don't let me stop you, just go out and buy it if you liked the previous versions.

I meant that the cheats in this one were lame compared to the old ones. No flying car cheat? LAME.

people like cheats because gta is one of those games many people buy just to mess about on and not bother to much with the missions. and thats half the reason i'm sure most people didn't like this one because it was not as fun to mess about on.but all in all it is the best gta.

you don't have to use them...

San Andreas was way better in all departments except graphics, but even that wasn't by a landslide (as it should have been on a nextgen console).

There was no drive on water cheat, no tank cheat, no flying vehicle cheat, no planes and the vehicles were lame and so is the weapons cheats...
Plus the cheat input sytem was lame...
