anti virus help

hi.. i know its unusual to ask this question here.. but any of you guys know the best free anti virus program that i can download for free on the web? Ive got a windows live free trial and its about to expire in 30 days.. i need a free anti virus that is not a trial, but reliable and can give maximum protection.. pls help.. tnx 4 ur comments .. ;)
