AceKard Make it Yourself Skin Image Problem

Hi. So, I am trying to make my own skin, so I download a "rip apart" one. I created a really pretty upper screen image, saved it .bmp and everything. I put it in the folder with the rest of the stuff you need for the skin to work on my Acekard.Everything is swell! The bottom default image is working perfect. However, my gorgeous Bakura Ryou upper screen image is all fuzzy. ;__;Is it something to do with the way I am saving it? Can someone pretty please help me save it right?
I can upload the image if you can save it properly for me...

Well, maybe bad resolution? I've never made a skin before, but resizing a picture changes the resolution, and makes it blurry. If its the right dimensions, I don't see what could go wrong.

On the acekard site, some of the themes I got had bottom screen issues.Yet when I rip out the pic-it seems fine. It's something to do with the resolution and or conversion I guess.

Try saving it as a 8bit bitmap.
