I have got a acekard 2i and updatet it so it works with my dsi 1.4
But can i update the soft and firmware now without crashing?

After installing the fix for DS 1.4 you [i]can[i] change the firmware to anything and it will still work. So, to answer your question, yes, you can change the firmware.
