Acekard 2i Novice!!

Please could I have some help on how to get my acekard2i (i have just bought this, did have the r4i) to work with my dsi after i did the stupid update.
i know i have to download bits n bobs but i need a step by step guide please

hYpNoSThere is a "danny phatom update"(it's listed on the acekard site as the 1.4 update when you look for it) which you can download from the acekard website http://www.acekard.com/
But in order to run it, ethier have a dsi with 1.3 firmware or lower, or a dslite/ds original console
once in your acekard (assuming you have firmware already on it, AKAIO works best) start the update, let it run, and your acekard SHOULD work on 1.4 firmware

I think I must be a complete moron but I have followed the guide to the letter and the card still doesn't work????
What am I doing wrong??
I get the error message "An error has occured, please turn off etc"
Please help!
