3DS getting the cart to work - seems to be in a loop

Hi all, thanks if anyone answers over Christmas!Got my boys r4i 3DS gold deluxe editions working with the ROMs.I am aware that for each change of game, I need to tap settings/other settings/profile/NDS ProfileProblem is, when I tap NDS Profile, it asks what I want to alter Message or Colour? It then loops back to this.What used to happen was, after tapping NDS Profile, the screen went blank and the ROM would play.How can I get it to reset when I tap NDS Profile, like it used to? I don't want to alter a setting, just for it to do what it should?Many thanks
