2 different games of New Super Mario Bros?

Is there 2 versions of New Super Mario Bros for ds? My friend got the game and it looks this
but mine looks like this What is the different in these game and why can't we play the first one on a dsi?

It looks to me as if you have the European version.

Do you know why the non-european version can't play in a dsi then?

you can use the non euro version, Nintendo dont use region locking except on its DSiWare

I know - but it doesn't work in my dsi - and thats what I can't understand (and its the original games - not ROMs). Could it be a fake?

Sorry too say this mate, but you're wrong.One is from Europe and one is from the US. It won't work on the DSi due too its mild lock, same reason why Jump Ultimate stars wont work on DSi.

But only for its DSi Ware, I hear.

I am sure that dsi has no reigon lock(for games) since I own a euro dsi and my US,Europe,and Japanese(ouendan) games work on it.
BTW I ounce bought a fake ds game which looked real but it didn't work,so yours might be the same case.

This game come long out BEFORE the DSi!
So how you guys are able to talk that the other is a DSi versionPS: the boxart of the U and E versions can be different!

Nintendo har answered my friend and it's a fake ALL versions of NSMB should be played in a dsi. Its a good copy - but a copy. So she has contacted the sellar and got her money back...
