1964 Help

I'm wanting to use it because I'm tire of fighting with that other emulator that likes to run around in its pajamas. I can get 1964 to recognize all the other buttons on my Xbox 360 controller but for when I push my left stick down. Could somebody please tell me how to wake this emulator up?
