Great game, playstation's best action game ever!!!
I love this game, it's a wonderful production of Hideo, with a great soudtrack and a awesome history, this game surely is in the top of playstation games.

i have this game( but the 2 disc disapeard) , MGS 2, MGS 3, MGS 4
they all show great storyline, i download from playstation store the database so i can ssee all the story XD
you can defeat Mantis by destroying the stones statues too
Do you need to download both disks?
Some people may think that the graphics suck, but 1) dont forget this was back in the 90's and 2) it just adds to the charm of the game. To be honest I didnt care less about them it was still the best game i ever played.
Can't seem to get past the fight with ocelot during the first disc because after you beat him the game freezes while you are talking to Kenneth Baker. Any suggestions?

No no no, if your having problems beating mantis with a keyboard, all u have to do is aim for the 2 statues he throws at you (upper left & upper right corners) , when they are destroyed he can no longer read your mind!! your welcome btw

This game rocks. For a PS1 game it broke the barrier. right up there in the top 3 games of its era,along with vagrant story and FFVII. It has an excellent storyline, great graphics and sweet controls. everything it did it did right. and though it isn't the starter it shot metal gear onto the stage. It is a great game and if u know what true gaming is then u must have this in ur collection. So download it u'll love it.

It started on the NES with Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge
then it hopped over to the MSX2 with Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
Then went to the PSX with MGS
and yall should know the rest.
