Heh, didn't know this was released. Definitely a lot harder than the other versions. (Original on SNES, GBA and PSX remakes, etc.) It did make the transition to 3D very well, however.
I highly recomend this game to all people who love Role Playing Games or people looking to try out the genre. This is by a long shot my favourite game in the Final Fantasy series, which is widely considered the best series of role playing games around, which I somewhat agree with. Anyway, why this game is great. It has some of the best characters in Final Fantasy history, all of which develop well, a great story filled with twists and turns at every corner. The battle system is very easy to get into, and first time Role Play Gamers will have fun getting a new character only to find out he/she has completely new abilities. Testing these new skills is not only fun, but can be very helpful, which will allow you to build new strategys, helping you defeat bosses. In my opinion, the only thing in this game which could be improved is the main Antaganist. Garland's cool and all, but NOBODY can beat Kefka (Final Fantasy 6).
This game is really good. Its worth ur points. I like the graphics. Download it.
Thanks so much i own this game so it is legal my ds is not playing this game for some reason it will play it on my brother ds so i downloaded it is the best and thank you so much for this!
i am loving the game so far, but i am having a problem in that when the text from the main menu or names of characters pop up they just stay their and overlap any new text. does anyone know how this can be fixed or why it is happening?
This game is extremely difficult. Boss battles are always overwhelming. Even encounters on the world map can wipe out your "super" powered characters in a matter of minutes by insanely powerful status ailments. However, this is an excellent remake in 3D. The story is as gripping as ever and the characters as memorable as ever. I finally got to see Rosa at her prime of beauty and Cecil who is as cool as ever. A must have. Just prepare to sweat a lot on boss battles.
Final Fantasy 4 No matter what the quality of the game, the iconic Squaresoft series of Final Fantasy will always have its followers. And I'm certainly one of them. I'll never expect any RPG to match up to Final Fantasy 7 or Chrono Trigger, so I feel it's harsh to compare those two legendary titles to anything else. FF4 for the NDS is, predictably, nowhere near those two, but is a very good title in its own right. The game starts slowly and can be off-putting. It's like a strange start to a really good book. If you can persevere through the first half hour you'll be rewarded. The storyline develops well. It's no "Cloud/Sephiroth" saga, but it is involved and detailed, and you fall firmly into the sense of adventure. Graphically, there's no complaints. The characters glide rather than walk, but that aside the game is beautifully presented considering the NDS format. There's no "problems" as such with the game; rather minor issues. The game is pretty easy. It's very rare that you'll find yourself in a position where you have to strategically think your way through a problem or a battle. The battle system itself is a strange one - it's classic Final Fantasy, but lacks a bit of the "charm" other titles have. Overall, this is very much worth the play. There are better RPG's - Chrono Trigger DS and the Pokemon series are probably more enjoyable - but Squaresoft fans won't be left disappointed by this. RATING: 7/10
wow it truly is an amazing game, cool! never thought that final fantasy below final fantasy seven will be this awesome... but it's just me or i think *spoiler* paladin cecil a bit too powerful ^^ lol... well, this is my review of the game: gameplay 8/10 nothing perfect, but still its pretty awesome, it has some new features on it, like abilities, that you can get from lore, and they make some of the characters stronger e.g polom porom; rydia(adult);cid; Edward. yet some weakened: dark knight cecil's "darkness" skill, and i dunno it's just me or tellah seems a little bit weaker? anyway, i like it it makes the game a bit balanced. Graphic 9/10 consider its NDS and not PS 2, i can say the graphic is pretty much a good thing ^^, i mean the event, its a bit more lively, and we can get the feel of those event... story 9/10 like some of ff series, we can pretty much aid that the story, is something that we're waiting at, it has a nice story line, upside and down, emotion on it, we can pretty much being carried out if we have a very close attention to it. well over all, it's pretty much like, if you're a type of a person who like leveling up a lot, and enjoy a lot of optional things, you'll pretty much love this game, but if you're not you'll find this game a bit monotone and boring, well enjoy!! anyway great game! "you spoony bard!!"-tellah "What he means is that I'm Mysidia's most esteemed magical prodigy, and you're incredibly lucky to have me along!" - Palom
