Again one of the best games on ds.
Storyline too linear. Bit frustrating when you can see whats coming from a mile away and the guy takes ages to figure it out.
Great game. The "sketch" art style looks fantastic, the plot's interesting, and the puzzles are generally fun and logical. There are a few annoying issues, including the slow speed of the text, but it's otherwise fantastic. (Also, it's impossible to permanently do something wrong. If you make the game Unwinnable, you quickly hit a Game Over screen, and can retry immediately beforehand.) Great game - definitely worth playing.
Actually this would be the greatest adventure game ever on DS has ever seen you see, the dialogue, and the story was just like real REALLY RECCOMENDED, unless you were just like those fast paced game lol
This game was excellent. The story and characters are so realistic and innovative, unlike any other game I've played before. The gameplay makes you think, and you feel really triuphant when you figure out the parts that are difficult. The only real bummer is that it has basically no replay value whatsoever. :( I really recommend this though! I couldn't put it down!
This is often referred to as an interactive novel. There is TONS of reading in it. In fact, you hold the ds like a book to play this. If you want action, or mini games etc.. or fast pace, dont choose this. Go for something else like lost in blue or some real time adventure game. This is definitely a game to sit down either on a long journey or wherever and chill out with. I personally loved this game, it took me probably an hour or so to get into it, as i was expecting more than tons of reading, and so tried to dash through the reading. But after a bit i got into the story and was knocking on doors to try find out more. The story really grabs you in, and the characters too. In fact, in the end i was sad to leave, but according to the developers in an interview Kyle Hyde will return. So hey, if you like the old style adventures, set in the middle of a desert in a hotel, with plenty of intrigue and mystery and have patience and a desire for reading - Get it! In my opinion 9/10. Loved it!
Hmm this was a pretty boring game in my opinion, after about 10 minutes of playing this game i deleted it. I would not reccomend it unless your a huge fan of thinking games.
I've heard people call these types of games "interactive screensavers," "digital novels," and other things but I prefer the term "point'n'click" and Hotel Dusk was extremely well done. It wasn't that long ago that these games only came out for computers so, it's nice to see good titles like this come out for the DS. I wouldn't recommend them for five minute playtimes during the day but it makes for a very enjoyable weekend or a few evenings during the week.
This is a sort of thinking game (or how do you call that xD) If you do something wrong, you can't get further. It happened to me... :(
