This is a great ps1 game...and one of the toughest side scrolling shooters i have played
Its a fun but difficult shooter, and it took me a while to complete it. However its pretty short having only 7 levels which become challenging around level 3-4. Its difficulty makes up for its limited amount of levels. Its worth downloading.

OH YEAH! R-type way back before when i was in high school i played this game and i miss the times im playing this game! cool side scrolling shooting game of time to me!
It's not the best of the series, but it's a good one to spend a weekend, indeed.
Experienced the same problem as daxter101, archive is broken, only 90mb downloaded on two separate download attempts. Will try to redownload, for the meantime any ideas?

Hello just to let you know I've been looking for this game everywhere and I was so glad that I found this one for to play on my psp, but everytime I directly download this game form the internet the game data that I must extract is always broken that is what pisses me off. Next time please please pleeeeaaaseeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do not compress files its the worst thing you can do it has ruined my life several times and file compressors suck!!!!! Anyone who has tried to download this game probably has had a miserable experience. Why god Whyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
